EQUINE MUSCLE RELEASE THERAPY
EMRT is a non-invasive, soft-tissue manipulation through cross-fibre friction which takes a comprehensive approach to a horse's well being. Manipulation focuses on key areas of the body such as muscle junctions, along the central nervous and lymphatic systems. The treatment does exactly what it says on the tin - releases restrictions to improve joint mobility, suppleness of the vertebral column, engagement from behind, balance and much more

EMRT is an ideal way to help the body function at an optimal level of health & efficiency. It aids both recovery from & prevention of injury, as well as supporting a horse's ability to perform at their best and continue to meet the demands of their sport.

Additionally, because I began my equestrian career as a rider, and for my case studies used horses I was schooling, I can relate my EMRT findings back to the ridden work, enabling me to provide advice on schooling exercises and riding plan to best compliment the horse's muscular structure.

Aside from musculo-skeletal responses, EMRT can also help ameliorate lymphatic flow and circulation, providing relief where it's needed.

Reasons for treatment
drop in horse's performance
schooling issues - differences between reins, disuniting, hollowing through transitions, lack of bend, lack of engagement, difficulty lengthening stride
change in behaviour - refusals, girthiness, cold backed, bucking, rearing, napping
reluctance to be groomed or bridled
asymmetrical muscle development
soft tissue injury - EMRT helps alleviate discomfort from ligament sprains and muscle & tendon strains, aiding long term recovery and preventing secondary injuries from compensatory use
a nice treat for your horse as they work so hard for you!

A quick fix leads to a quick fail, and so to get the best results your horse may need several sessions

As beneficial as EMRT may be, it is a complementary therapy and not a replacement for veterinary treatment and consultation with your vet is advised prior to EMRT
